MKUD
Makedonka in association with
Macedonian Orthodox Church "St
Dimitrij Solunski" was founded in
1982. The founding committee members
include Ljuba Dameska as President,
Niki Mishevska as secretary, Dana
Dukadinovska as treasurer and
choreographers Pece and Letka. Dragan
Bozinovski was awarded Life Member (Pochesen
Pretsedatel) for longest serving
committee member of MKUD Makedonka.
The
group consists of about 20 members,
consisting mainly of young boys and
girls. The group frequently organises
trips to wide range of attractions
where the whole group participates in.
MKUD
Makedonka participates in a number of
festivals, including the "Sumnation
World Cultural Festival", the "Ilinden
Festival" by FOMKUD where MKUD
Makedonka has been a regular member.
The group also attends and
participates in balls conducted by the Macedonian Orthodox Church
"St Dimitrij Solunski", and
the group itself organises a number of
balls throughout the year where it
invites other Macedonian cultural
artistic associations to attend and
participate along with MKUD Makedonka.
Anyone
that is interested and want to learn,
or their children to learn Macedonian
folk dancing are welcome to join
anytime. |
