 On
Friday 9 September 2005 as part of the
Darebin Music Feast 2005 presented by
the City of Darebin, Macedonian
Australian Cultural Youth Association
Tanec held its annual Mak Folk
Festival at the FK Preston Makedonia
Social Club. The public and guests
were presented with performances of
both groups of Tanec, showcasing
traditional Macedonian folk dances, a
singing competition and a guest
appearance by Sonja Andonova with “Makedonka”.
Participants of the singing
competition were Nada Angelkovska with
“Do Kraj so Tebe”, Goran Andonovski
with “Bekrija”, Živko Koleski with
“Dve Solzi mi Kapnaja”, Klime
Angeloski with “Žal za Despina”,
Viktorija Zdraveska with “Zajdi
 Zajdi”,
and Vera Trajkovska with “Ja Izlezi
Gjurgo”.
In a close competition, Živko Koleski
won the Mak Folk Festival singing
competition, with Viktorija Zdraveska
coming in second, and Vera Trajkovska
third.
